Here is an excellent article from the Expository Times which articulates very well what I’m trying to accomplish as a pastor-theologian.  The spiritual vigor of the church and our ability to navigate to the truth in a world of falsehoods is directly related to the depth of our theological knowledge and convictions, so it is essential that pastors be theologians, and that theology be rooted in the ministry of the local church.
